At the end of the day, build the product that people love to use. In a world where good ideas are almost always copied your moat isn't just distribution; it's in understanding how users behave and what they care about (else you get artifact companies who get crushed by new incumbents). People will always copy (it's a forcing function of innovation and a testament of being directionally correct), but they're left with the disadvantage in not understanding how you got there in the first place and how to get to the next iteration.
