I've been reviewing 50+ resumes for our CMO role, and it's not that hard to stand out. All the stellar candidates share these traits: -Solve problems before being asked: already outline their roadmap for greater mindshare -Avoid marketing fluff -Clearly researched the company -Leaders, not managers Most people do the classic: apply through a job board, wait for an interview, hope AI picks them out of a thousand others. That doesn't work anymore. Do something a little extra, and it goes a long way.
