On Tuesday the 29th of July 2025, a member of the Gardai was stabbed in Dublin in an unprovoked attack. At the time, media outlets, such as RTE (screenshot on the left), described the perpetrator as a man in his 20s who was an Irish citizen, as well as being born in Ireland. RTE, along with others, referred to independent reporting on the incident as "misinformation" etc, primarily because many many people noted from video footage of the incident, that the perpetrator was not native Irish, as the media had been suggesting. Fast forward 48 hours and the media have no option but to report the name of the perpetrator (screen shot on the right), as being one Abdullah Khan. There was no misinformation, just information the mainstream media did not like.
