Feels like this week is the right moment to put this out there. If your trading feels exciting every day, that should be a warning. Excitement in markets is almost always the byproduct of disorder: oversizing, overtrading, gambling, or some mix of the three. The irony is that good trading rarely feels exciting. The more refined your process, the less drama it creates. Solid bets don’t demand constant reaction.....the work is already done: thesis defined, risk set, exit conditions clear. That kind of clarity doesn’t create adrenaline. Be aware. The market will always have thrills to sell to anyone willing to pay for them. The bill comes in slippage, churn, and bad bets. Boredom, more often than not, is evidence of conviction. When you truly know your positions, there isn’t much to do but wait. Stillness is the skill. Keep it calm, keep it scalable, keep it paid.
