For a long time, I used glitch to cover things up plug-ins and filters hiding bits of insecurity. I see this with a lot in artists today. It’s easy to take something meh, stack effects on top, and make it feel intentional. That was the biggest pivot for me. Now I pour intention into the work before distortion. Capturing the source material to building the perfect loop, frame by frame. Then I start breaking it apart. Once it’s absolutely rekt I crawl the work back, piece by piece, until it settles into something that feels like my voice. Such is life.
