Turns out building the metaverse costs a lot—like "oops, we lost $5 billion last quarter" a lot.
Now Meta’s axing jobs in Reality Labs, the division behind those VR headsets no one asked for but Zuckerberg keeps hyping like it’s sliced bread.
Even folks working on VR fitness games got the boot.
Meanwhile, Zuck’s still out here promising virtual paradise.
Guess it’s hard to hear layoffs through a headset.
