Design: Commemorating the 400th anniversary of the Jamestown settlement (1607–2007), the design features the three ships—Susan Constant, Godspeed, and Discovery—crossing the Atlantic. The laurel wreath surrounding the scene emphasizes Virginia’s historic role as the site of the first permanent English settlement in America.
