Gm y’all I’ve been wayyy overloaded on what we’re working on for 2026, and it kept me from being able to collaborate and give the new collection by @ibenedictfuc12 the support that I wanted to and it hurts to have missed that opportunity, to be honest. would have been proud to do it, but I hit my limit. (I hate trading the present for the future, but it is what it is- everything is sacrifice on some level if you’re doing anything at all) That said- this is my love letter to @ibenedictfuc12 ‘s new series, just so I could get these thoughts out of my head and give flowers for the sake of telling an artist I love them. My thoughts: @ibenedictfuc12 ‘s wave of poetic “Hong Kong new wave” vibe x “ps2gummo” energy = abstract short film artwork is so damn dialed to where we, the chronically online, are right now psychologically/aesthetically. It’s overlayed & collapsing nostalgia baked between two hot knives toasting hash on a stovetop, seen from above as you’re astrally projecting from 15feet away, chilling on a couch in a burned out houseparty/crash pad you should have escaped from days ago, but you’ve been locked out of getting back into your head so you just keep drifting. It’s pre-burnt out youth, with digital sprites tormenting the terrain, manifested glitch effects bleeding into the atmosphere and running it back like a vhs loop, with subtitles stolen from a glue huffer’s love letter to the void. I think the series is Top 10 most on the pulse / art wave for 2025 I wish I had more time to give to it. Such a damn fan of @ibenedictfuc12 and big ups to @verse_works for supporting this release. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
