🇬🇷 Watch: Greek citizens have turned the arrival of Israeli tourists aboard the Crown Iris, an Israeli cruise ship sailing from Haifa, into a rolling wave of pro-Palestine solidarity actions across the Mediterranean. From Syros to Crete, they have blocked docks, unfurled giant Palestinian flags, and faced down riot police wielding batons and tear gas. These dockside confrontations are part of a wider mobilization — including workers who blockaded military cargo bound for Israel in Piraeus — that culminated in the Aug. 10 “Nationwide Day of Action,” one of the largest pro-Palestine demonstrations in Greek history, with tens of thousands rallying in more than 120 sites. “We can’t have Greece become a playground for IDF soldiers,” one protester said.
