Pretty crazy response on this. The appetite for something new in the space is obvious. To be clear: I don't think the world needs another "chat" app. And contrary to the tweet, I don't what we're building will replace Slack/Discord (yet). The real unlock isn't replacing how teams talk to each other -- it's probably upgrading the interface for collaborating with these models. Literally every team we talk to seems to exchanging more tokens with these models than with each other at this point. And, a subset of those conversations people are having single-player with AI would be useful to have together. Today I'm seeing a lot of: Sales teams sharing insights via GPT screenshots in Slack. Co-founders sharing their back-and-forth Claude brainstorms in iMessage. Constant copy-pasting interesting responses from the model. Everyone tryna to think together with AI but no such interface really exists. I think Tidbit is more trying to be a better AI interface for teams. I think if you give teams a better way to use AI together, they'll do better work. In many ways we're trying to compete more with ChatGPT/Claude at the interface level which I think is the more interesting game to play. anyways idk let's see :). early days. we're giving this idea until mid-sept. but, all-in rn.
