🇮🇳 Happy independence day we got independence 79yrs ago, but we got it late and with a debt we still have not repaid. our history is full of missed trains. printing presses arrived here centuries after they transformed Europe and China. industrialization came late and unevenly spread. the internet is something we consume more than we create on. each delay had a compounding effect that was brutal. every generation started further behind the rest of the world than it should have. we have to leap ahead, not walk or even run. the leaping will happen when we think 20 years ahead, fearlessly, and execute on our convictions and, freedom is not a trophy we put on a shelf. it is a job description. it is a daily responsibility to keep the soil under our feet ours. it is not the government’s job alone. it is ours when we decide whether to work honestly, when we choose whether to build something or just complain, when we pass on values to our children instead of screens we are still too dependent on others. we import not just products but also narratives. we look for validation from places that do not care if we stand or fall. self reliance. it is a mindset that refuses to be at the mercy of someone else’s decisions. true sovereignty is about knowing who we are and not trading it for acceptance in someone else’s club. if we lose our cultural backbone, no amount of gdp growth will make us free young people love to talk about rights, but rights are fragile if they are not held up by responsibility. if we will not carry our part of the load, someone else will take the whole cart most importantly, strength matters. a weak country is prey for everyone. weakness is not only about armies and weapons. it is about economic strength, moral strength, and the strength to do what is right when it costs something. we got freedom as a gift from people who were willing to risk everything. we will keep it only if we are willing to do the same we have moved from crawling to walking. there is a war and tons of hardwork to be done. if we buy crap narratives from countries 20 years ahead of us (and declining), we will never fly. the work is just starting. and i am glad i am surrounded by some tough Indian bhais and behens jai hind
