Yesterday, someone from the Solana ecosystem (a project, not foundation/labs) reached out to me and was so grateful for the ZK Book that they made an unsolicited offer to donate money… and after I shared my SOL address that person made a pretty sizable donation. I never experienced something like that in ETH circles. For all of ETH culture’s virtue signaling about public goods, it seems the “good samaritan” is actually a Solana builder. To be clear, I’m not upset that this never happened from an ETH person — I just find the event very ironic with respect to what the two cultures’ stated values are. Let me also say that people in ETH circles have done very big favors for me and I’m not at all discounting that. I’m just saying this particular act came from an Solana member and that very much surprised me.
