The Frontier Awaits ⛰️ On August 18, Cap goes live on Ethereum mainnet. All protocol functions will become active. A new onchain economy for yield begins and it will reward the earliest explorers under the Frontier program 🧵

To recognize meaningful contributions, Cap introduces "Caps" — the program's native points system. Caps identify the most valuable community members: the ones driving the protocol forward. We will reach out to top Caps participants for unique perks, special events, and additional access to the team.

The Frontier program will last a maximum of 5 months, ending sooner if certain metrics are met. The program will be broken down into epochs that will offer Caps for various activities. The earlier you join, the more Caps you earn. This program is not meant for short-term farmers - sporadic users won't unlock the full potential of Caps.

Product highlight Cap has two flagship products cUSD — a digital dollar backed by 1:1 with blue-chip stables and money market funds stcUSD — a yield-bearing version of cUSD. Yield comes from base strategies + allocations to financial institutions that generate yield @symbioticfi and @eigenlayer are used to ensure that all allocations to financial institutions are overcollateralized with ETH and BTC derivatives

Epoch 1: Minting cUSD ✅ Holding cUSD earns Caps daily during the first epoch of 2 weeks This epoch will host a boosted Caps rate for early cUSD minters The earlier, the better — rewards decay over time Note: stcUSD holders won't be incentivized at this point.

Lenders 🏛️ Lenders that lend to stcUSD markets on @MorphoLabs or @eulerfinance will earn Caps. These caps will last the entirety of the program More lending markets will be added as new integrations are made

Epoch 2 details will be announced on August 25. The epoch will start a week after 🔜 Expect integrations with partner protocols. You’ll be able to use cUSD, stcUSD, and their derivatives to earn more Caps.
