are discord roles that useless since some of them are contribution-based? i mean, there are roles assigned to contributions outside of discord so...

some roles are gotten from contributions on x, onchain activities etc definitely hard to write off discord, or saying that it's less more important than x kinda see it this way... like a "hub and spoke" model thingy where discord is the hub and the spokes are other platforms/activities integrated into it discord works like a command center where major info is gathered and x disseminates to the wider public no one is more important than the other if you deep it
