NEWS: Tesla is reportedly preparing to enter Britain's energy market in the coming months, with plans to launch a household electricity supplier - Telegraph The company has applied to Ofgem for a licence that would allow it to take on the likes of Octopus and British Gas by selling power to households. It suggests Tesla could start providing electricity as soon as next year, in a major expansion of its energy ambitions in Britain. Tesla Electric, as the supplier will be called, is likely to integrate closely with Tesla cars and Powerwall home batteries with a promise to save on household bills.
