Found this interview with @nicochristie at the perfect time. I have a few colleagues in the CPA, accounting, and legal space that live and breath in Excel files (maybe 70-80% of their day in there). It's their browser. They can't/won't use Google Sheets, so that + Gemini is a non-starter. Plus they need to have high trust on the changes being made (logs, reasoning, audits, sourcing, etc). Otherwise, the time spent QA/QC'ing or the risk of a mistake are too great. I've already tested this for an hour with some cap tables, pro formas, and data processing across 20+ sub sheets each containing 100-500 rows (impossible with Gemini's shorter context window in Sheets). It's not perfect, but it's impressive. Going to keep testing and report back after a month of usage....
