Ever since bro said this I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. At the end of the day all humans want is to feel something From a consumer perspective nobody actually cares about tech. Most products are almost worthless if they're unable to make people feel the right things in the right ways There's a reason why arts are seen as timeless because they're able to transport you to an ethereal place. Whereas some tool that saves you a bit of time here or some platform that enhances a bit of your productivity there, they serve a temporary purpose but it's all going to zero eventually Memories are the only vehicle that actually allow you to feel something over and over again forever. The value of being able to revisit meaningful moments in your head at will is objectively priceless

My thesis is that Nostalgia will be one of the few things worth anything in the foreseeable future. In a time where the value of everything is speed running to 0, everyone will be reminiscing of times where everything had some level of value and doing their absolute best to mimic a glimpse of that in the present moment
