This is silly and doomed to fail. The Constitution very clearly requires counting all "persons" in the Census. This is just political theater. Whatever your politics, I expect lawmakers to have—at a minimum—a basic understanding and respect for the law.

Two possibilities here: 1) Rep. Mary Miller is genuinely confused about what the Constitution says about the Census. 2) She’s knowingly misleading her constituents for engagement. Neither is reassuring. We should expect better from our members of Congress.
