I am generally pro capitalist and have very little sympathy for the Mamdani/AOC/Sanders strain of socialism. However, there comes a point where the wealthy few own simply too much and it produces an unstable equilibrium from a social perspective. It doesn’t even matter what’s fair, just matters how humans behave when resources are so unevenly divided. There are only a few ways of resolving this, none of them particularly happy.
