I believe that in most instances people want art in their homes that is not overly demanding of attention, to not feel like a gallery. That said, some of my favorite works are motion based that by their nature pull the eye to it. So where best to show these motion based works?
I would concede there are works that would be more or less distracting. But I think there are many works that I would consider important and would love to own and show others but I would have a hard time highlighting in a living room.
@anaglyph_ic but to be fair, i may just be harping on something that digital art is not well built for and that is really more a problem with me as the buyer. i am well aware of the properties of digital art and maybe i should just best be happy with what it is and not what it isnt.
@anaglyph_ic @mitchellfchan but i would note, i would buy this art regardless of the issues with displaying, I still really am drawn to and want to own the art. this is ultimately a collectors mindset that is hard to explain to those that don't understand.
