I am changing some components of things I am doing, and I decided to publish this as a standalone indicator. It's a simple thing, which is looking at new highs and lows in combination with the z-score of volume. You can mess around with settings however you like, I'd recommend sticking to monthly/quarterly/yearly lookbacks (make sure to use trading days for tradfi instead of calendar).

btw before I get spammed with questions these are example settings I would use. Short term: 30-day z-score lookback on crypto / 21-day on tradfi, 90-day new highs and lows. Long terms: 52-week look back on weekly (or 252-day tradfi / 365-day crypto on daily) with maybe 6 months on new highs and lows
