I learned today that “data centers” is an inaccurate Boomer term…. Data centers host CPUs made by cos like AMD for general purpose processes and tasks web servers, software, etc and have heavy storage requirements. “AI Factories” (sounds silly but more accurate) host GPUs and TPUs made by cos like NVIDIA for heavy computation for LLM / ML models. Instead of storage, they focus on memory loads to handle massive datasets. The more you know 🌈 the less Boomer you sound
