FHE is hitting the blockchain speed threshold @zama_fhe just announced bootstrapping TFHE ciphertexts <1ms, a milestone that could change the entire perception of blockchain privacy. Once considered too slow to use, FHE has now made a huge leap forward. • Ethereum ~15 TPS, block time ~12 seconds. • L2s reach 100 - 400 TPS, latency from a few hundred ms to a few seconds. > FHE can now handle secure computations almost instantly. If batching and hardware optimizations continue, throughput could reach ~1000 TPS in just a few months. What was once considered “too slow to use in blockchain” now has the opportunity to surpass L1 and many L2s. FHE is more than privacy.
