The answer to this is quite simple: most projects know that their product doesn't have any real adoption or users that will stick around post airdrop. If they tried to airdrop like Hyperliquid did, most people would insta dump. They want a high FDV and low float to give themselves & their VCs time to sell their allocations. The only way they can do that is by giving low community % and vesting their tokens over time.
