Nothing I ever heard about motherhood prepared me for how much of it would be spent managing clothes. Dirty clothes, unfolded clothes, clothes that got outgrown, off season clothes, favorite clothes that have suddenly fallen out of favor, clothes that need to be stored for a few years before the next kid can wear them, clothes that the younger brother could in theory inherit if they weren't all pink and shiny. Clothes that have shrunk in the dryer, clothes that need repairing, clothes that are nominally in the right size but don't hold around the waist for some reason, clothes that someone just painted with markers and the stains won't just go away. The unidentified mass of clothes that covers every flat surface of your house and needs to be sorted into one of the categories above before they can be of use to anyone. "Wardrobe full of clothes and nothing to wear" is the default state of children's wardrobes, and it's only through insane dedicated effort that my kid's drawers are not overflowing with clothes they can't or won't wear. And then the next season comes, the weather changes, your children grow, and the whole cycle starts over. Congratulations, you now have a few more bags of clothes to be put in long term storage. Have you considered buying a bigger house? As far as I can tell, my biggest two challenges about having another baby would be the lack of sleep, and their clothes. Seriously, I could have like 10 more babies if I never had to deal with any of their clothes again.
