Yesterday, we hosted our very first “Digg IRL” meetup in Los Angeles. It was a human-powered hang session to connect with the community, learn more about their experiences with the early product, and dream a bit about the future of what could be. In-person meetups will be an important part of what @digg will be, and we have plans to connect in more cities to hear from you about how your experience with the platform (and beyond) has been. On another note, invites to Digg Beta will start rolling out within the next week, current community members will receive 2 invite codes to share with friends. Keep an eye out for more details next week!

Today we launched the @digg Closed Beta on the web which means that all 25,000 of our intrepid Groundbreakers can now lovingly and aggressively kick the tires of the Digg™ Desktop Personal Computer Web Experience™.

new feature packed @digg beta -- dark mode, clarity icon set, bug fixes +++, and the web beta going live today. Next up, an invite system to open things up while guarding against ai bots (thanks for waiting!). once we get the foundational framework live then the wild ideas come next :)

We were grateful to join @ForerunnerVC and our fellow co-hosts in bringing together a standout group of early-stage consumer AI builders at #HumansInTheLoop. It was a powerful reminder that collective success grows from an inclusive community—where founders, investors, and entrepreneurs come together to exchange ideas. We’ve seen it before in Web 2.0 and mobile, and we’re seeing it again in AI. We were especially proud to see three True portfolio companies on stage: Julie Bornstein of Daydream, Nicholas Thorne of Audos, and @JustinMezzell of @Digg—part of a group of 20 forward-thinking leaders shaping the future of consumer AI. Each offered a unique and inspiring perspective on what’s possible.
