Design: The patch features the statue of King Kamehameha I in traditional royal attire, set against the backdrop of the Hawaiian state flag. To the left, the Hawaiian Islands are shown along with the state motto: “Ua Mau ke Ea o ka ʻĀina i Pono” (“The life of the land is perpetuated in righteousness”). The design reflects Hawaii’s unique culture and history as a Pacific paradise. Reconstructed as an embroidered patch from the original U.S. quarter design.
