There's some rat-adjacent cults that have actually insane juicy stories idk why people ignore those and try to act like the main scene is scandelous

I cannot express the degree to which the idea "rationality is a cult" is retarded. It is definitely weird, and that weirdness occasionally has costs! But it doesn't have the isolation or conformity required for the real damage of cults, at least not moreso than any scene
